ABOUT SESSIONS

Sessions, a British addiction drama from Indie production house Hyprr Films.

The film follows Richie, played by Daniel O’Reilly, a man battling his demons while navigating the impact of substance abuse on his relationships and mental health.

The cast features Jonas Armstrong (The Bay), Jaime Winstone (Sumotherhood), Leo Gregory (Green Street), Preeya Kalidas (Four Lions), Percelle Ascott (Doctor Who), and Rupert Graves (Sherlock), Paul Smith (Comedian). Giles Alderson (The Dare) will direct.

The film is produced by Carl Shepherd (No Way Up, Kindling) for Hyprr Films alongside Lucinda Rhodes Thakrar (One Ranger) for Picture Perfect. Executive Producer is Jo Cordell. The film is written by O’Reilly, Jonathan Kogan, Alderson, and Tobias Vees, with Kate Plantin serving as Casting Director.

“I’m delighted to be directing this film and working with such an incredible cast and crew on a project that has real heart,” Alderson said in a statement. “It’s an important story that needs to be told.”

The production has teamed with the mental health charity Men and Their Emotions (M.A.T.E) to provide opportunities for those supported by the organization to be involved in the film’s production.

Shepherd added: “This film is about resilience, redemption, and the unspoken battles so many face. We’ve assembled an extraordinary team to bring this story to life, and I believe it will resonate deeply with audiences.”
